Quinnlee at 6 Months

Hey all! Here I am again... can you believe I am updating my blog already? Me either!
Quinnlee has been up to so much just in the last couple weeks. Her personality is changing ever so rapidly, she is so funny and she know's it. She's big into copying everything we do, then she laughs because she thinks she's being so funny. So here she is, and a little of what she's been up too!
This is Quinnlee all ready for church.
While I was at the Relief Society dinner, Jacob decided he wanted to teach Quinnlee how to crawl. Yes, I know it is a little soon for her to be crawling, but don't let this picture fool you. Jacob put her in this position and she stays there but doesn't move. She thinks she's so big!

Quinnlee loves watching Baby Einstein videos. So me being the awesome mother that I am, I put her in my room on my bed so she can watch her show while Jake and I eat our dinner. Whenever she is fussy or sad, this cheers her right up! I know, I should definately recieve the mother of the year award for letting my 6 month old watch TV! But... whatever makes her happy! You just can't resist that smile of hers.

Quinnlee LOVES her Grandma Cathi!

Sunday morning at my Mom and Dad's house. Everyone was getting ready of church, and this is what Jacob and Quinnlee did. My two favorite people snuggled up together sleeping... Priceless!

Since Quinnlee has started rolling, she tends to knock things over. This is her little play matt and she thinks it is so cool to hide underneath it.

Tangled up in her play matt watching TV.
We were at the luncheon of my cousin Lacy's wedding. Quinnlee stole that cookie right off Aunt Becky's plate! She's never had a cookie before, but she lOVED it!

Now that Quinnlee has the hang of eating solid food, she loves it, but she's still a little messy!

She's thinkin' she's pretty cool because Daddy let her sit in his chair!

We were headed out to run some errends and it was freezing cold outside. I made Quinnlee wear her hat that she hates to wear... as you can tell by the look on her face.

Now that Quinnlee has her two bottom teeth, and her top ones are starting to come through, we brush her teeth and gums every night before bed. She loves the feeling of the soft bristles on her gums.

Quinnlee is so much fun and we are loving watching her learn new things everyday. She loves to talk and she is making more sounds as she is realizing how cool her voice is. She is a talker just like her Mom, and she loves to squeel really loud, then wait for us to laugh at her then she'll laugh too. We love our precious little girl!

This last weekend Quinnlee and I drove to Raft River and meet my parents then headed up to Twin Falls to my cousin Lacy's wedding. My sister-in-law Kallie and her daughter Eli tended Quinnlee for me while we went to the wedding. It was a perfect day. The wedding was so beautiful. On this special day, not only was Lacy sealed to her husband Andy but also Lacy's baby boy was sealed to her and her new husband. Lacy's Dad, LaMont stood in for baby Bekm and they were all sealed together as an eternal family. What an awesome day! The spirit was so strong in that sealing room, it really made me so grateful that I am a member of this Gospel and that I have an eternal family. I am so proud of Lacy!

Family and Fun!

Quinnlee and cousin Elexia

Well, it's been a while since i've updated my blog and there has been so much going on. Quinnlee is 6 months old today and just keeps growing. She now wieghs about 17 lbs and is almost 27 inch. long. I can't believe how time has flown and how big our little girl is. She has started eating solid food. She's not quite sure how she feels about it yet, but we're still working on getting the spoon in the mouth and swollowing the food. Her favorite so far is sweet potatos, givin she's only tried those, peas, avacado's and bananas. She is such a curious little thing, always watching and taking in all she can.

This past week she has started rolling over both ways. I put her down next to me and the next thing I know, she's on the other side of the room. She is also sitting up all by herself, with the occational tip overs. Next thing I know, she'll be crawling! She really needs to slow down.

She is not sleeping well at night (neither are we), waking up every couple hours for her binkie, so we took the binkie away... only at night time. (yeah, call me crazy!) When she wakes up at night now she just has to cry herself to sleep. These past few nights have been very long for all of us, but she's starting to learn to sooth herself back to sleep. She doesn't take good naps during the day either, so I will give her her binkie to go to sleep, but if she spits it out and starts crying, she has to cry herself to sleep. Today, she slept for 2 hourst so I think it's working. This has been the hardest thing I have had to do since she was born, but i'm taking desperate measures so we all can start sleeping better.

Jacob has started finishing our basement (bless his heart), so in just a few short months we will all move down there and Quinnlee will finally have her own room. I can't wait!

Jacob has been working so hard lately. His business is busier than ever and it's success has been such a blessing in our lives. He works all day, then comes home and works on the basement. I know he works so hard for his family and I am so grateful for all he does... even though I wish I could spend more time with him. Thanks to both of our families who have given us some down time to spend with them and just relax!

SO.......

Here is what we have all been up too lately.

Bathtime is Quinnlee's favorite time of the day!

Quinnlee and Jacob have so much fun together....
this is what they do for fun!
She thinks Mom and Dad are the funniest people ever....
when really we're just crazy!
She gets really excited when she hears the door unlocking...
she's knows it's her Daddy.
She sits up all by herself....
with a little spill every once in a while.
She has even started to sign the word milk (with a little prompting) when I show her the bottle. She's so smart!

My Mom decided to start an annual Valentine's party for our family. This year we all got together(exept for Uncle Eric, he had to work) and and went bowling. It was so fun to have everyone together and the kids laughing and having so much fun. Even Quinnlee and cousin Grant had fun watching everything that was going on around them. Thanks Mom... this will be such a fun tradition!

Here is all the cousin's together.... Quinnlee LOVES her cousins! Quinnlee and cousin Grant are best buds... they love hangin' out together
and watching everything going on around them. (Sorry about the Blurriness)
Meagan and Preston came over to my Mom's house while Quinnlee and I were there visiting. This was the first time Quinnlee and Preston had played together.... they hit it off very well!
Two peas in a pod!

Last weekend most of Jacob's family came home and my wonderful mother-in-law took us swimming to 1000 Springs in Hagerman. Quinnlee had never been swimming before so we were really looking forward to seeing how she would like it. Well, she LOVED it. We bought her a little innertube and she stayed in that thing in the water for over two hours. She had so much fun splashing and watching all the other swimmers. Her favorite was to watch the kids jumping off the diving board. She was so happy to be in the warm water surrounded by all her family. Thanks Grandma Brown, We Love You!

So that's us in a nutshell (well, kinda) from the past few months. Now that I have internet at my house, and all my pictures in order I will start being better about updating my blog. Well, hopefully.

We Are Blessed!

Grandma Brown and all her wonderful Grandkids!

The Brown Family

Quinnlee at Daddy's shop

Jacob trying to get some work done with me bothering him!

Sometimes I try to help!

We have been so blessed these past couple of months. Jacob's business is booming with success. He works so hard and even though we don't see him as often as we would like, we are lucky to have such a hard working man in our lives. Thanks honey!

Thats MY hott mechanic hard at work

Quinnlee is 15 weeks today... 3 months and 1 week. At her well baby apt last month she weighed in at 12 lbs 12 oz and was 24 1/2 in long. I know she has grown a ton since then! She loves to smile and giggle and loves to talk to us. She has discovered that if she puts her lips together and blows out it makes spit bubbles... she thinks it's so funny! This last week she has been waking up every couple hours at night just for me to put her binkie in her mouth. Last night was the first night in a few weeks of a full nights sleep.

I set Quinnlee down on the couch so I could go make her bottle... I must have taken too long because she fell asleep.

She is getting so good at holding her head up. She doesn't love tummy time very much but it's staring to pay off. She'll be rolling over in no time.

She loves to play in her bouncy chair, but only when I'm in the room. She has grown quit attached to her mother and hates it when I leave her side!

This is her warm winter outfit one of my friends bought for her. It keeps her nice and warm when we go outside.

Quinnlee's favorite thing in the whole wide world.... Bath Time! She will spend hours in the tub if I would let her. She kicks her legs and splashes and then giggles when she gets us all wet! It's actually our favorite time of the day... it's when she's the happiest!

Quinnlee and her Dad love spending time together, but when Dad's on the phone and being boring, this is what happens! This is also what happens when Dad's in charge of keeping her awake for the last few hours before bed time!

I am so grateful to all of our family and friends who have a part in making our lives and our business such a success. We are more blessed at this time in our lives then ever! We never take for granid all that the Lord has blessed us with. A roof over our heads, food on the table and health in our bodies! Not to mention, wonderful families and friends who we know we can always count on! Life IS Good!

Our Sweet Baby

Quinnlee is now 7 weeks old today and is growing right before our eyes. She weighs somewhere around 10 lbs, but i'm not quit sure how tall she is. She loves all the attention we give her.. if we're in the other room, she'll cry until we come and talk to her. She has discovered her voice and she LOVES to talk. She is so curious about what goes on all around, she'll just sit and look around for the longest time. She is constantly moving... kicking her legs, moving her arms... she never holds still. I think that means once she starts to crawl or walk... she's never going to slow down. She is so active and she loves life! (who wouldn't at this age... you get everything you want)

She was really awake, the flash from the camera made her close her eyes. Mommy's so funny!

She has the most beautiful smile
Quinnlee LOVES hangin out with her Daddy... they are best buds!
I have such a wonderful husband. I am so grateful for the father that he is and for all he does for our family! I love you Jacob!

I was trying on all of her bows on her head... most of them are still a little big, but she's still looks so cute in them.

"Oh Daddy... I love you!"

First day of church... she was so good because this is what she did the whole time!
We love our baby girl and are enjoying every second of watching her develop and grow! Time goes by so fast so we cherish every moment we spend with her. We are so blessed and so grateful to our Heavenly Father who has entrusted us with one of his precious children. Life just doesn't get any better than this!

She's such a happy baby!

These pictures were taken when she was about 2 weeks old. We don't have a lot of current pictures of her but hopefully soon I will get some posted. She is now 5 weeks old and weighs a whopping 10 lbs 1 oz. I can't believe how fast she is growing! Jacob and I are enjoying every second of her and we are so blessed to have her in our lives. She sleeps 6 hours at night (most of the time) and she's starting to smile at me when I talk to her... it is so fun! She is everything we could have asked for and more!
